Why Natural Resources Canada is a supporter of ēKOCOMFORT®

The primary objective of the Energy Technology Centre (CETC) of Natural Resources Canada is to develop and deploy technologies that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

CETC is required to demonstrate that its activities help reduce emissions, create jobs, improve export sales of Canadian-made technologies and protect health and safety. The ēKOCOMFORT® system is designed to do all of these.

The idea of integrating home climate systems in Canada gained prominence in 1991 when Natural Resources Canada launched its Advanced Houses Program. The Program challenged Canada's housing industry to build a series of demonstration houses meeting new levels of energy performance, indoor air quality and environmental features. Integrated systems were identified as a major area of opportunity.
